Our family has been raising cattle on our 5,000-acre ranch in Yoakum, Texas since 1985. We’ve applied what we have learned from four generations of ranching into producing the best tasting, most tender beef available.

Our meat has a complex, robust flavor while having a melt in your mouth juiciness. We’ve done our homework and found the sweet spot so that our tender cuts have just the right amount of fat and marbling.
Whether it’s a flank steak, a ribeye, or ground beef, there is one thing our customers have told us, time and time again: our meat is a cut above the rest.
Our Meat is Better For You.
The cows at Augustus Ranch spend their entire lives on our ranch, with grass under their feet 365 days a year. Grass naturally contains key nutrients such as Omega-3 fatty acids and B vitamins. It’s important to us that our animals always have access to fresh forage and grass, resulting in higher levels of antioxidants and beta-carotene when compared to conventional, grain-fed beef.
In addition, we’ve spent years formulating a proprietary finishing ration which also includes several key nutrient dense plant materials (no corn or soy), ensuring that our animals have the highest quality diet. The result is a flavorful, natural product that you can feel good about eating.
Our cows are never kept in feedlots nor subject to overcrowded and unsanitary conditions. Our cattle are never treated with antibiotics, growth hormones or animal byproducts. In the rare case that a cow does get sick and requires treatment, we remove that animal from our meat program.

At Augustus Ranch, we take pride in running a sustainable and environmentally responsible operation. We employ a regenerative rotational grazing system to ensure that our cattle see the maximum benefits from their forage diets while not depleting the soil. This management practice leads to increased water retention, carbon sequestration, and biodiversity.
